People in the US dress up on halloween and people in europe (and everywhere else catholicism is predominant) on carnival. In Germany Cologne and Duesseldorf are the karneval-hotspots (luckyly I'm going to cologne and duesseldorf on thursday, when everything is over!).I'm really not into this dressing-up-thing, since for most of the carnivalists the party is just about getting drunk and bully around. Nevertheless the parades are really worth a look sometimes, because nothing is sacred at german carnival.
If I would dress up, my dog would also have to, like the twe ones shown above. I especially love the spider costume!
