Would you run around with a dead bird attached to your chest? I definitely won't although I kind of love the jewellery the New Zealander Julia deVille creates. In 2001 she started to study footwear design but decided quick that that wasn't the thing she really wanted to do. Her knowledge of leather led her to the production of leather gloves and accessories under her label Abattoir. Handling dead animal seems to be the logical continuation (?) to handling dead animal's skins...Her Jewelry would have fitted perfectly to Alexander McQueens Fall 2006 collection. Well maybe next time!?
