hamburg part 02

Second day in hamburg started quite late (wearing black hunter rubber boots - it was raining the whole day! | black tights | black sweater dress by H&M Trend | black/white woolen coat by Stefanel | silver huge handbag ZARA). A good friend of mine picked me up at around 1pm for having lunch at the küchenwerkstatt a tiny restaurant near the river (or reservoir whatever you may call this huge water area in the middle of hamburg) alster. I had handmade pasta which didn't look like pasta at all, but was very good.

After lunch we headed for the Hochschule für Bildende Künste to see the graduand's exhbition. It wasn't that good although we discovered a few interessting young artist to look out for like Casandra Popescu or Katja Windau. See the whole documentation here.

After some coffee and meeting some friends we went to the Reeperbahn to visit an exhibition opening at the Kunstverein St. Pauli, which actually isn't a Kunstverein, just calls itself like that and is a student's flat where former Braunschweig art students make exhibtions. Funnily it's located directly at the Kiez, next to a Burger King and some prostitutes standing around waiting for "work".
We had to ring the bell and say the password "Fallen Angel" (or something) to enter. The flat was full of people and actually there was no real exhibition. Just one room contained some photos. Well, the REAL occasion I think was a concert by a death metal band, some guys in latex masks screaming into their microfones as kind of live performance.

part 03 coming soon...
