Ryan McGinley for PUMA

Beautiful young people ride their colorfulbikes through Appletrees. They seem to somehow have forgotten to wear clothes or did they stuff them into their fancy Puma bags? This arsty farsty commercial is a modern version of Adam and Eve made by Ryan McGinley and Hans Ulrich Obrist: The young photo artist McGinley was ordered by Puma to make a spot on their new bikes and bags. The spot and the bikes and bags aswell can be seen from september on in the london based serpentine gallery run by Obrist. McGinleys visions of Love, Sex and Happiness have already been exhibited in New Yorks major exhibitions spaces. Quite interessting on one hand, but also scary on the other: Has art finally been commercialized by fashion? Well, well, well...
