When the doors at the Ideal Fashion Show were opened darkness came over us ;-) I was lucky to find a seat in the first row. There was a strange construction with a podest and some machines looking like scanners. Definitely no ordinary fashion show to be expected. Romanian designer Olay Gyarfas (Rozalb de Mura is the brand's name) presented his autumn/winter 2008 collection as some kind of performance. I had the chance to see his designs the day before at the Ideal Showroom and was impressed. Mostly black, and clothes that can be worn in many different ways - you know I love that. Collars that can be added up via press buttons, fluffy down jackets, huge pants that can be made even huger by adding some more fabric with more press buttons. Sophisticated coolness apparently taken out of some stylish science fiction movie. Although the show as a show was very exceptional und pretty interessting it wasn't that good, because the clothes could hardly be seen. Too dark, too many flashlights and maybe not the best idea to sit in the first row!? I managed to take some pictures. Each model had to climb a staircase. On top of the podest were scanners that photographed certain parts of the model's bodies. The pictures were projected on screens and virtually blurred. Everything was accompanied with music by Mikhail Karikis.
