Hardly any art work in Germany has invoked such a wide discussion about art and politics in the last decades like Hans Haacke’ s installation DER BEVÖLKERUNG at the Berliner Reichstag in the year 2000. The recording of the parliamentary debate will now be part of the first large retrospective of Hans Haacke in Germany, which will be shown at the Deichtorhallen, Hamburg and the Akademie der Künste, Berlin simultaneously.I've been to the Hamburg exhibition and it's really worth a visit.
