Nachdem ich gestern fälschlicherweise einen Schal von fabrics interseason für einen von Henrik Viskov (eigentlich müsste ich es besser wissen!) gehalten habe (shame on me!), sah ich mich (selbst) genötigt, der Website des österreichischen Labels einen Besuch abzustatten. Während hinter mir das fcb Fitting für die Show übermorgen früh in Aktion ist (aktuell für Anntian) und ich die vielen Bilder, die ich zwischendrinn schieße, erst nach der Show bloggen darf, schreibe ich über etwas anderes - jede freie Minute wird genutzt!

Wally Salner und Johannes Schweiger machen nicht wirklich Kleidung. Die Haltbarkeit wird bei jedem Stück nicht garantiert. Insofern würde ich mit diesem Schalgeflecht ein Stück tragbare Kunst, als Ergebnis eines durchdachten Konzepts, erwerben, handgearbeitet aus nicht exakt zu definierenden Materialien, so die Angaben der Designer/Künstler.

"the coordinates of fashion and design in general, contemporary fine arts, cultural history, performance and (electronic) music describe the areas and interfaces, within which ___fabrics interseason locate and position their works and projects. in accordance with their artistic method, the projects, performances and the collections and presentation are based upon concepts which are developed from an intensive research of socio-political discourses and phenomena. ___fabrics interseason are interested in codes, which manifest themselves in individual and collective clothing patterns, in identity-generated values and their readability. the collections do not only function as the analysis of these codes and even the analyses of a live within a surface (with all their socio-political implications); but because of their ability to be worn, they also infiltrate an exclusive and highly individual lifestyle by deliberately proclaiming a critical or political stance. the approach to fabrics, textiles and fashion not only happens on a "superficial" level, the main interests are set on the content and life within a surface."

Im Großen und Ganzen ist mir persönlich das alles ein wenig zu hippie. Aber das ein oder andere Teil - wie z.B. den Flechtschal - kann ich mir schon gut an mir vorstellen. Jan führte im Frühjahr dieses Jahres ein Interview mit den beiden, welches hier zu finden ist.
