it was fantastic beyond believe. We met so many important people, made important contacts... We did 4 fairs (art basel, volta, liste and scope) in two days and had a fantastic appartement (thank you Axel ♥) next to the Rhine with a huge roof top terrace located next to all the fairs (and the city!) so we could ride everywhere by bike.
Life is so fast right now. Expect things to come...

basel 2007

The basel week starts tomorrow (well, I'll be in Basel for the weekend). Besides art basel there're always plenty of things to see. So take your time ;-)
Other (smaller) art fairs taking place this week are scope, liste and voltashow which will be most interessting for those of you who are interessted in young emerging art and not so much the high art stuff shown at art basel.

Basel is very art focussed this week so every art institution will try to attract the art crowd. I tried to make a list of things you shouldn't miss while beeing in Basel (parties not included - other suggestions are always welcome - mahret [at] fnart.org).

• Jasper Johns - An Allegory of Painting. 1955-1965 at kunstmuseum basel
• Christophe Lamber "temple of nothing" at galerie daeppen
• The Art of Failure and Exit Basel at kunsthaus baselland

And I've always wanted to visit the schaulager and so should you. Basel is very beautiful, so simply hang around and see what's there. And watch out for The Sartorialist - he's also going to be there to shoot you ;-)

style diary review: bixaorellana

Re- viewing style diaries is some- thing the_ kitten from picky picks pics does regularily. Great idea and nothing I want to steal from her, but this time I had to make an exception.

Via picky picks pics I found bixaorellana's style diary and was really stunned by it.

Well actually her style isn't really THAT special - please don't get me wrong. There're plenty of style diaries I enjoy looking at and styles I really appreciate, but seldomly would want to have every single item of it, not so in bixaorellana's case. Her style is clean, chique, minimalistic in colours, very sophisticated and I totally love it ♥ (and the way she posts her pictures is very professional indeed!)
