Berlin based Online Shop Styleserver - run by two very nice guys called Florian and Jan - had a temporary Salesroom during Berlin Fashion Week.

Between July 12th and 15th they offered pieces from current collections from over 30 independent international designers like Awareness & Consciousness (Wien), Aleksandra Wisniewska (Zürich), Ayzit Bostan (München), C.Neeon (Berlin), goyagoya (Frankfurt), Kristin Hensel (Halle), Pulver (Berlin), Reality Studio (Berlin), Sarah Heartbo (Berlin), Saskia Diez (München), von Wedel & Tiedeken (Berlin) und USE unused (Fashion Label of the year Hungary) amongst others.

Normally you can only buy their stuff online at styleserver.de

I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a piece. A very nice summery dress by Berlin based label c.neeon. They also showed their current collection at Berlin Fashion Week. View their ss 08 collection here.

berlin ♥

I'm sorry for posting so many videos lately. I simply haven't got the time to write a lot about them. Nylon did a Berlin special for their current issue. So please check the places out where I hang around while beeing in Berlin.

American Apparel in Heidelberg

Believe it or not. Guess who's coming to tiny little crappy boring (but absolutely beautiful) Heidelberg!? Yes. We are getting our own American Apparel store - and it's probably the first store in a smaller german city (not like Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart etc.). YEAH!

I'm so excited! They're still looking for (all kinds of) staff (store manager, fulltime and partime shop assistants etc.) and if it would have been last year I would have applied, but not today ;-( Well. From July on Heidelberg will face cool (quite) cheap styles and all the stylish Heidelbergers (Hello, where are you?) won't have to travel to Stuttgart or Frankfurt any longer...

Sorry it was already dark, so I couldn't make proper pictures, but we'll get an idea of it - actually it's not going to be a very tiny shop...
I guess places are always getting cooler when I leave? What shop will open next? ZARA? And what would you think about beeing able to buy Cheap Monday stuff in Heidelberg? That would be great wouldn't it?

KATE FOR TOPSHOP

Well. As you might already know. There's no Topshop in Germany and no possibility to (top) shop online. So the Kate for Topshop hype was quite limited over here. But if you're still curious please check out the osoblog for inside information. And - by the way - the kate for topshop website is working again.

Berlin part 02 ::: Shopping

After having breakfast (with my friend Sabinah and her son) at café/bar Blaues Band (we actually went there every morning - Berlin is so f****** cheap!) at the Alte Schön hauser Allee we went shopping or at least looking at interessting stuff!!! First stop was the becks fashion experience store located at the other side of the street. Between March 29th and May 31st they show (in the former rooms of pro-qm bookstore which has moved!) many upcoming fashion designers like Marie-Louise Vogt (I've written about her earlier), q_e.d. und Tobias Bodio. Around the Alte Schönhauser Allee are many interessting shops. Next stop was FilippaK (they are very friendly et the Berlin store!) where I fell in love with a long brownish sleek somehow greek style dress which I planned to wear in my ex-boyfriends wedding next month, but then it somehow didn't look appropriate enough since he's an economist and all his friends and his future wife too and I don't want to look displaced in any way - just too sad! Well, that's another story.
At American Apparel I had to buy a scarf since it was much colder in Berlin than back home in Heidelberg (a fact I usually forget!). Andreas Murkudis is perfect for looking and making shopping lists for better times (thought in salary terms!). The Mitte shopping/looking tour ended at pro-qm where I bought all the magazines mentioned here.
Later that day we walked to Friedrichstraße where I bought a H&M dress I always wanted to have you can see me wearing it here. Berlin means a lot of walking (and taxi driving ;-)

KATE AND IRINA FOR TOPSHOP

There hasn't opened a topshop in germany yet and I think there isn't a necessity for now, although Kate Moss' topshop collection will be in shops 1st may. There aren't many pieces I'd purchase if I could (online shopping isn't possible for Germans neither!). What I love about the collection is that Irina Lazareanu - Kate and Pete's buddy - is the model.

But this collection will definitely sell much better than the Madonna for H&M collection (there're still ALL the pieces at my local H&M - do you still need something?)

What to wear to a wedding ::: part 01

I got an invitations to a friends wedding in may. Today I start to think about what to wear. Suggestions are always welcome!!! I've interpreted the dresscode as "semi-formal daytime" so I'll go for a short dress or skirt and blouse and heels. Since my budget is quite limited first stop will be ZARA (fair prices and cuts, but also bad quality...).

I've found these stylings online and I already have a trenchcoat, so buying bag, dress and heels wouldn't be that expensive. I also liked both blouses. Especially the blue one. I love the cut an print...
